Interactive Exhibit Design + Experiential Systems

DKS Design served as Agency of Record for iNSPIRE: 50 Years of Innovation at the Mimms Museum of Technology and Art, leading the development of a large-scale exhibit that combines original Apple artifacts with immersive, interactive installations.

iNSPIRE-50

The goal was simple:

Don’t just show the history of technology. Let people step into it. DKS Design led the project from early concept through final installation, working closely with the Mimms team to bring their vision to life in a way that visitors could actually engage with. The process started with research and narrative development, shaping how Apple’s evolution across hardware, software, and culture would be experienced in the space. From there, we developed the exhibit identity, including the name iNSPIRE, and carried that through the full creative direction. Each interactive installation was designed as part of a larger system. Not standalone moments, but connected experiences that guide how visitors move, interact, and understand what they’re seeing. We worked alongside fabricators, developers, and hardware partners throughout, staying involved from concept through build, installation, and final refinement on site. In parallel, we developed marketing materials for the exhibit, including content and design for the Mimms website and printed collateral, making sure the experience was consistent before, during, and after the visit.
